Everton to make offer for Middlesbrough Promising attacker

Everton are reported to making plans ahead of a January transfer window, and are said to be plotting a swoop for Middlesbrough youngster Marcus Tavernier.

The report claims that the Toffees have signalled an interest in the 18-year-old attacker following his impressive statistics and further breaking into the first team of the Boros. It is noted that Everton could follow up on the Attacker and probably table a bid for the youngster, with his current contract expiring next summer.

Reports have also linked the English attacker with a move to Arsenal, after sending scouts to watch the youngster. While sparking interests also from Bournemouth and Aston Villa who are also eligible suitors.

Tavernier is fast becoming an important first-team player for Boro under manager Gary Monk and later scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Sunderland, which was predicted in free bets odds.

Everton has been poor in form in the Premier League this season and will be looking to change that by banking on the next transfer window in January, with Toffees known for nursing young players and Boro youngster is definitely a future prospect.

The Merseyside club will have to shift their attention to signing a full-time manager first before lining up January targets, but Tavernier could still be considered later sometime along the line. Although, it will be a great watch to see how he will develop in the Championship side this campaign, following his first-team role.

It would be a tough signing, if Everton were to push a deal through as Boro boss Gary Monk is keen to keep hold of the youngster, with the young attacker still having a one-year extension in his contract, and Boro could activate it strengthen their squad up front.
